How the Universal Laws
of Attraction Work?
The universal laws of attraction tell us that similar things are attracted to each other. Birds of a feather flock together, you might say. It is one of the rules that you learn about in a book called the Secret.
There are rules governing the universe. To believe that there are no rules means believing in chaos. The law of gravity prevents us from floating off this planet. The gravitational pull of the sun keeps the planet in orbit.
The gravitational pull of the earth keeps the moon circling around us. An intense gravitational pull can actually slow the passage of time.
The law of gravity is just one of the many rules that keep the universe moving as it does. If we learn to take advantage of and use the rules (working with them, rather than fighting them), we can have peace, happiness, wealth and success. In other words, our dreams will come true.
By learning to control our thoughts and behavior, we can use the universal laws of attraction to “pull” good things towards us. This is one of the tenets of the Secret. It works like this.
First, you figure out what it is that you really want. Think about this carefully. You might think that all you want is money. But, if you had lots of money, what would you spend it on?
The things that you really want are those things that you would use the money for. Having money is not the ultimate goal. How to figure out what we really want is something that we learn about in the Secret.
The second step is sometimes harder than the first for many people. It is to believe that you are about to get what it is that you desire.
Belief is a powerful thing. If you do not believe in the universal laws of attraction, they will not work for you. They will work, as they always do. But, instead of attracting the things that you desire, your negative thoughts and your failure to believe might attract things that you do not want.
If you think that belief is not important or powerful, think about the placebo effect. When people believe that a pill will cure them, sometimes it does, even if it contains nothing but sugar. Researchers call it the placebo effect. About 40% of the time, a pill will work, simply because the patient believes that it will.
